Overview
Westerbeke's SST Sound Guard consists of 5 powder coated aluminum panels and stainless steel base and frame. The powder coated aluminum panels provide optimum corrosion resistance while reducing the weight of the enclosure. The frame (where attached to the base) and base are likely to be subjected to the most moisture; therefore, are of stainless steel, a highly corrosion resistant metal. Even the rivets and fasteners are of stainless steel. The top panel also covers the side panels to lessen the likelihood that moisture will enter the Sound Guard SST.
